Designing an On-Site Garden-Waste Composting Hub

What municipalities should consider when moving green-waste treatment closer to the source.

Published 2025-07-085 min readBy Jiesonglin Technology

Garden waste is seasonal, bulky and highly variable. A useful treatment plan starts with a clear picture of peak volume, branch size, moisture and the intended use of the finished material.

An on-site hub can reduce unnecessary transport when shredding, recipe control, aerobic treatment and curing are designed as one material flow rather than separate equipment purchases.

The final layout should preserve safe vehicle movement, clean and dirty zones, stormwater control and enough curing space for peak-season production.
